Inspired by life’s simple moments, APOTHEKE believes that scent can transform a house into a home, elevate every mood, and help keep memories alive. 

What began in 2011 as a personal exploration of scent formulation and soap making in the Brooklyn, NewYork, kitchen of founder Chrissy Fichte, has grown into a widely recognized and beloved luxury lifestyle fragrance brand. True to its Brooklyn roots and contemporary ethos, APOTHEKE believes that simplicity is the ultimate expression of luxury.

" I never imagined I’d launch a company from my kitchen. But when my passion for scent design and soap making evolved into something much bigger, APOTHEKE was born. I learned everything I could about the craft, sourced essential oils directly from local farms, and began to make unique new fragrances and products - all by hand. 


Finally, in 2012, we opened our own factory in Brooklyn, New York. We may have grown but our vision hasn’t changed. Our candles and soaps are still handmade, and each of our fragrances is thoughtfully blended to inspire and elevate the everyday.

Giving Back

APOTHEKE is committed to giving back. Over the years, APOTHEKE has donated thousands of pounds of soap to the Bowery Mission in New York, and have partnered with Autism Tomorrow, Your Mom Cares, Red Hook Art Project, and Cora Dance.

Sustainable Sourcing

Fragrance ingredients are measured against four goals for sustainability: Improve working conditions in their factory or farm, promote sustainable agricultural, reduce environmental footprints, and improve the lives of the communities where they are sourced.

Natural Ingredients

We use ingredients in the fragrance that are all-natural essential oils.

Upcycling

We use ingredients that were able crafted with maximum respect for nature. Where some may consider certain raw materials "useless" we have found ways to turn them into unique scents that delight and inspire. This can be seen in many ways including alternate ways of sourcing, green chemistry, or reducing energy consumption.

Moodlifting

Fragrances have a unique power to make us feel better – from an invigorating body wash that wakes us up, to a scented candle that winds us down. This innovation takes into account a focus on wellbeing. Highlighting the power fragrances has to evoke positive moods. Scientifically tested and researched.

Orpur Fragrances

It means ‘pure gold’ in French, and this exceptional collection of natural materials is just as beautiful and sought after as the precious metal. Orpur® qualities are individually selected and rigorously reviewed. Crops are re-evaluated season after season to ensure consistency and unparalleled quality. Responsible sourcing, traceability and sustainability are key to this collection of ingredients.

Bringing meaningful fragrance to counterbalance negative stresses. Strategically tested by over 2,000 consumers, these fragrances enhanced the user’s overall state of being and were reported to increase optimism.
